Co je nového/Update and a sneak peak

Tak jsme zavařily šicí stroj :-))

Uz se vam někdy stalo, že moderní vymoženosti selhaly a staré dobré mašinky se osvedčily? Tak to je zrovna tenhle případ. Moderní šicí stroj nestačil našim požadavkům na kvalitu a stará dobrá předválečná Minerva si s tím poradila celkem hravě. Pravda, jen do určité míry. Pak už ani ona, ani džínové jehly nic nezmohly.

V této situaci mě zcela pochopitelně napadla poznámka tipu: Šije je jen jediná žena v republice na téměř sto let starém stroji....a musela jsem se fakt smát (zasvěcenci a milovníci Pamíru pochopí).

Nicméně, nosítko je z větší části hotové a abychom ho mohly dokončit, zahájily jsme pátrání po stroji, který by byl schopen prošít místy i deset vrstev látky bez toho, aby na nás sousedi volali hasiče:-)

Ok, so we've just seized up our sewing machine! :-)
Have you ever experienced a situation that a new, modern gadget/machine totally failed in the critical moment, and an old, outfashioned one made it through with no problem? This is exactly the case....a modern sewing machine could not catch up with our quality requirements and the good old ante-war Minerva made it just fine. Well, up to a certain limit. Past that limit neither the 'good old machine' nor the nail-like jeans needles could make a difference.


In this situation I naturally thought of....They're being sewn by only one woman in this country, on an almost a hundred years old sewing machine (Pamir lovers would understand I'm sure:-)) and I just had to laugh.


Nevertheless, the carrier is almost finished...but we do have to look for a better, probably industrial machine in order to finish it up. A machine that would fulfill our requirements (which, at times, means working with 10 layers of fabric) without our neighbors calling the firemen:-)
